The Quirky 2012

I just saw this home over on Selby’s website and was quite intrigued. I think it’s just a touch over the top for me personally, but I do love how bold the homeowner is. It’s funny, I’m exposed to such fantastic and at times crazy design, while most people I interact with really limit themselves. My boyfriend’s grandma leafed through my copy of “Design*Sponge at Home” and told me that she thought a lot of it was ugly and commented on how weird it was that someone nailed a tree branch to a wall. Oh if she only knew the quirkiness that exists! A tree branch on a wall is nothing, haha. I hope quirky design like this continues to gain ground and find ways to please folks of varying tastes because it really is so much fun!
