This weekend has held the Autumn 2011 Formex Fair. As always with these fairs – and maybe with this one in particular – there is much ado about nothing. Of what makes this event, fresh ideas & insights, trends and innovations are extremely small parts. Actually, you almost only find it in the marketing material! [...]

A Danish Globetrotter Style

danish etno-globetrotter style

This home, featured in Danish Boligmagasinet, is another variation of the popular ethno-eclectic, globetrotterish, style theme. In it’s base very Scandinavian, palish and raw, yet stylishly refreshed with the ethno-inspired textiles and details. Nice to see some pineapples again! I especially fancy the sofa corner. The bucket of flowers and the painting completes it.

Warm and cosy bottoms at the dinner table

Every now and again sheepskin or other animal hides appear on chairs in dining room pictures. I think it’s a great idea – it creates a stylish and relaxed look and adds warmth and texture. Especially nice in minimalist and industrial style rooms! A few examples below. [images: 1&2 - Anna Kern, 3 - Bo Bedre]
