Mid May: Etsy Favourites

Etsy is one amazing place. I keep finding so many nice things! My latest catch is a gorgeous vintage monkey I’m so much looking forward to meet. Here’s a collection of some other nice things, available right now.

| a hand woven ikat pillow @ lai grai, a vintage task lamp & a vintage robert mitchum framed portrait @ confetti garden and a gift set for the craft lover @ funretro |

| a vintage 70s swag ceiling light (in sweden we call them ‘tiffany-lamps’) @ funretro, a sea foam herman miller eames chair @ comod and finally, there’s something special with this montana brewery fine art print @ awakes |

cottage chic shelves

Here’s another new-to-me-find at Etsy, the OldNewAgain-shop. They are a husband and wife team, who love the vintage look but with a pop of new – a “fresh vintage” look. It’s cottage chic handicrafts. It’s – in my opinion – not the boring (xuse) shabby chic but a edgy fresh version, not least because flowers are the hottest stuff right now, especially combined with rawer materials.

My only problem with this place is I can’t choose…..! Prices are reasonable, mind you.

whimsical animal art

Every now and then I stumble across the nicest wall art @Etsy. Our poster wall is made up of prints I found there last winter. One new-find is Amber Alexander’s shop, she makes the most adorable whimsy animal prints! And has the forest and garden animals ever been as trendy…? In Amber’s collection there are some real goodies.

Like these sweethearts. Top left with the high neckline is Mae and right the Victoria, Tea Time, print. Oh Deer, she says she likes alfalfa petit four, a nifty taste she has. Many of the prints are just cute, but some are great fun too. Like these below, which I’d give an antique golden frame. The cat who has had A Hard Day and the lovely coloured Byron print. Byron likes to read Shakespeare while sipping black tea heavily sweetened with honey. I knew it!;)

The prints vary in sizes but most are approx. 20×28 cm. I had to order myself a print or two immediately now that I found them; a rabbit and a fox lady. Will get back to where I placed them once they’ve arrived from Vermont :)

Spark Your Life

This is a print by one my favourite Etsy artists, Jen Renninger. She always has something wise to share. Like ‘everything is going to be ok‘ and this – Be Creative: An ‘everyday reminder’ to serve as a little nudge to get you to look at each and every small thing as a world of possibilities. We can never tell what small seemingly insignificant moment will inspire something profound in us. Inspiration is everywhere. (and especially at Jen’s! )
