“Sweden’s most beautiful home”

….is right now this one, accoring to votes @ Booli Inspiration. The company Booli aggregates real estate listings, and today they lauched a new website with “Sweden’s most beautiful homes”. The promoting goes “Maybe it’s time to furnish or renovate a little bit at home? Take the chance, let yourself be inspired. And by the way, best of all, if you really fancy a room … the home is for sale.”

I’m not sure whether estate agents will be perfectly happy with this (they already have a horn in hand to Booli), and for that matter: people have actually had their homes photograped in order to sell the place, not to participate in a “nicest home”- competition on the internet. But the idea isn’t too bad…! It’s Swedish! Ugh sooo Swedish! We vote and think, assess and evaluate…And lift our Scandinavian ideal to the skies. (Thank God there is no way to dislike a home, I don’t want people to see their rooms displayed with red minus-56 figures)

Get in there if you need insipration on Scandinavian interior style!

    It is great to hear your views on the matter.

    Estate ads are really a gold mine for us furnishing/decor addicts - and Booli Inspiration (with its categorization of rooms and highlighting of the most appreciated rooms) is a way in which they become more readily available.

    Although there is no element of competition intended, it lifts the 'most appreciated interior style' - which is of interest in itself (trends, preferences, etc) and, moreover, it can give good advice to people who are styling their homes to sell.

    Looking forward to see how Booli Inspiration develop in the future!

    Our intention is not to create a competition, we want to help celebrate great homes (that are for sale). Our research have shown that a lot of our users visit our site looking for inspiration, so our thought is: why not create a section specifically for them? From a selling point of view, inspiration is often a good place to start from and we hope to a great source of inspiration for anyone interested in the Swedish real estate market.

    There has been a lot of focus on the few conflicts we have had with real estate agents. With a few exceptions we have very good relationships with real estate markets.

    It is a fun idea slash service, but I agree with you in the objections. What is it supposed to be used for? But one thing - it shows perfectly clearly the Swedish style and trends in home decor.

    I think it's waaaay too sober and correct... It looks almost like a fancy restaurant.
