Stumps are so useful

Posted on 2010/11/19 by Mia in AW 2010, From Nature, Trends & Tricks

And trendy, according to the latest issue of Italian Bravacasa. And also according to the CEO of Swedish Fashion Council. Personally, I cherish the ecofriendliness and ‘just grab a tree and cut a slice’ attributes of the stump-trend. The usage sofar is however somewhat limited (examples below) but as always, creativity can make anything happen.

I saw stumps like these at Pottery Barn about a year ago & fell in love with them. I have 3 in my living room that I got from a neighbor who had just had a tree taken out. Not only do I love that they are eco friendly but fabulous & everyone is a fan of them.

Hi, oh to get them from a tree like that is really something! Excellent way of decorating, I’d rather to that than buy a stump. I guess they can make excellent stools aswell and practically any function really. Whitewashed or darkstained could also be options.
