As far as I’m concerned, the worn and stripped industrial style benefits from a little bit of flair and romance. In industrial vintage style I hold the part vintage higher than industrial. Rough needs romance. And same goes for romantic styles, usually within country styles: Romance needs rough. Increasingly often, these styles can be seen merged. Industrial country romance!

I saw a blog recently where the designer had put a vintage painting directly above a shower bath, looked great but I doubt it will last very long.

Bringing vintage into the house is a great idea, although I wonder if some people just wouldn’t get it and think you haven’t put any effort in.

As a trend I have seen quite a few attempts to make vintage looking furniture recently in blogs, I can see it combining well with the country kitchen look.
