Plaid Wallpaper

I just read about plaid wallpaper over at Apartment Therapy – apparently it is currently in vogue. I am very fond of plaid patterned rugs, especially the newcomer Alice by Pappelina, but will plaid make it on walls?

Here’s two examples of a style I might consider, to the left on pic is Rut by Sandberg, and to the right Knitted plaid from Creative Wallcovering. A light/pale, preferably blueish plaid wallpaper might actually look absolutely fabulous on a kitchen wall, in a living room or maybe in a hallway.
