Interesting Interior Scenes

Posted on 2011/06/27 by Mia in Dark Painted Walls, Dining/Living room, Garden & Outdoors, Home Office

From me to you – a round of interesting interior scenes! There’s something intriguing about this porch, for some reason I’m drawn to it… And the tiny home office below is like something out of a fairy tale. A mystery vibe only dark dramatic walls can create.

I don’t know about you, but to me these sofa/living areas below are very appealing. The first is an exercise in interior design well done. The perfect symmetry, the colour balance, texture..and the play with scale. It hadn’t been at all this interesting if it weren’t for the undersized chair. And of course the stool and the lovely lovely flowers. The last pic is just beautiful. Again, summer loveliness!

Very interesting! I love them all! especially the mini-office and the last very beautiful photo with the pink wall – do you think its a wallpaper? I love photos you can look at again and again and still find new details!!

Hi Maria and thanks a lot for stopping by! Hmm, good question, it could be wallpaper. Seems like it’s free-standing and almost as light is shining through it. Or actually, I went back to original source: it’s some kind of fabric by Carolyn Quartermaine. And to be even more specific, (contined my research! :)) it’s a painting by her, standing next to her sofa in her home in southern France.

I, too, love the mini home office, especially, the elephant lamp. But what is with the devils above the couch in the tan living room? I’m into Wicca and that is even a bit much for my sensibilities …

Hi Sonje, and thank you for commenting! Interesting observation! – I didn’t look at it so close I realized they were devils…and hmm, it’s in the eye of the beholder but yes, kind of an evil vibe!
