It’s time! Again! To say a few words about what IKEA is up to in their new catalogue.
It’s all about ideas, they say. And in my opinion, there are more ideas than usual and the ideas themselves tend to get better and better. More mixi’n, more interesting scenes, more creativity. Still Swedish “lagom” of course. But style mixing is a thing that’s broken into the IKEA catalogue too, finally I’d say :) The IKEA PS 2012 collection was definitely a party (I smiled at least a full day after looking at it!), indeed impressing it was. I won’t cross-examine the styling, the handling of gender issues etcetera in the catalogue this time, just noting one crucial point.. The pic below.
My favourite page in the 2013 catalogue. Representing IKEA at its best – reminding you their products serve as raw material for your creativity. There was also a pic around a few weeks ago where they had painted waves and a sailing ship all over some chest of drawers! Excellent. I also appreciate the page below, with an interestingly personalized table. Hurray, a full catalogue of pages like this would make the ultimate decor inspiration book. I’m greatly happy with the few.
