framed inspiration

Posted on 2011/02/14 by Mia in Art & Illustrations, DIY for Walls.., Home Office, Other trendy details

I’m in the midst of re-decorating our bedroom and the inspiration folder gets bigger and bigger…! Just as it should be. I like the idea of making new use of beautiful old frames. They are good just naked & empty but every now and then you see inspiring uses around, e.g as a frame for jewelry or as a framed chalkboard. The trick can be varied endlessly, creativity is the only limit. Today I’m inspired by this version below; an old frame, some fine-mesh chicken wire, a bunch of mini-clothespins and the sweetest memories attached.

I have a similar frame that I did the exact same thing with, including the little clothes pins. My sister made it for me to put my jewelry on but I already had a place for that stuff and decided to use it to hold pictures.
