Colourboost The Whiteness!

Posted on 2012/02/05 by Mia in Colour Boosts

The weather outside these days is reminiscent of the interior style that has been (and for some, still is) worshipped in Sweden: totally white from all the crispy snow, and when sun sets: black. Some naked trees to add a bit of wood. This little pic to the right, via est magazine, has circulated in the blogosphere the last few days and not least on many Swedish interior blogs, It’s been said oooh’s & ahh’s: what a lovely colour scheme! The pendulum has begun to swing and this is so groundbreaking it deserves an own post :) So following this lead, here’s some more creative & colour-boosted versions of a whiteish style!

This pic above is from Living etc‘s fresh new March issue – an issue filled to the brim with exciting white interiors. A touch of homespun (the chair), a fun flowery sofa together with another, colourful, sofa and a gorgeous rug makes this place interesting & cool. As you see can one side of the wall is not decorated yet, but it can be filled with basically anything. Flowing velvet drapes adorn the windows and adds extra warmth to the room (you can’t see that in the pic though, only in my mind). And below, same source and inspirational value: a white kitchen and white bedroom stylishly and creatively boosted with lovely colourful elements.
