Hottest Xmas Decor: Reindeers

25 Nov

This year, Rudolph is more popular than ever. He is coming, strong…and with a vengeance! It is logical in view of the strong current trend with various animal heads and antlers. And who does not like the bullied reindeer that gets to lights the way for Santa?! First out are Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph, “dressed in their finest festive clothes, so they are ready for Christmas Eve and the many Christmas celebrations they are going to.” $50 from Medusa Copenhagen:

A decorative reindeer that glitters, $11 from Ã…hlens

…and a reindeer made of recycled rope, Merry Cord Reindeer, ca $70 from Anthropologie:

And lastly, reindeer napkins, $6, and a reindeer candle, bottom right, $12 from Danish Il Gusto.

I don’t know about you, but I will certainly invite some reindeers this year.

Oranges with Cloves

20 Nov

One of my absolutey fave Christmas decors is oranges + cloves. I love doing it, how the cloves stick your fingers and that special smell when cloves meet orange. I love to watch them hanging in a decorative string or collected in a bowl. Foremost, the scent is soo nice – it revives memories of cozy Christmas’s passed, and it awakens the Christmas spirit.

Brilliant Advent Stars

2 Nov

Oh time flies…it’s November already! The 29th is the First Sunday of Advent. From that day, stars will hang in windows all over town to shed light in dark December days and recall the Star of Bethlehem. Here’s some particularly trendey Advent Stars to keep your Advent preparations going!advent_stars

But hey, why not do-one-yourself! Let’s re-use and personalize… Here is a great DIY-example, from the Swedish home decor blog Hemmariket. (The star is a contribution to the company Panduro’s ongoing crafts competition). Also, below, DesignTorget inspires with their kit “Starlet – make your own Star”. As always, creativity is the limit.starlet
