Classic Stockholm Beauties

My feelings are very warm for typical Stockholm beauties like these. With the wide plank flooring, the tile stove and the generous ceiling height creating such wonderful sense of space. Decorating a home under conditions like these is a sheer delight. Walls kept ‘Stockholm-white’ (like above) or painted, wallpapered…Any style works.  | via estate agencies fastighetsbyrån & susanne persson |

decor rest

hello dear readers! How are you these days of early summer ’11? I am busy, busy. busy…and you’ll some non-activeness here. But I will be back sporadically, I always am. In the meantime, a bedroom view – not for symbolizing what I’ll be up to ;) I won’t spend much time there, but I’ll be resting from decor buzz and biz, focusing all my energies on: WORK. A colour scheme close to heart:

beautisleep made easy

I think this Saturday deserves some beautiful bedrooms of various styles! We are a tired bunch here, a terrible cold has hit us out. I love the idea in the first arrangement, to add another layer behind the headboard. I do like the bottom left idea too, a nice painting does the trick very well, particularly with a pair of Jielde like that. As for me, the headboard-hunt isn’t over, in time I will find my majestic French darling. Bonne nuit!

the chalkboard headboard

I know this isn’t the newest trick in the book, but it’s still standing as a great (and cost-efficient) way to add extra interest to a bedroom. It is, I think, one particularly appropriate feature in a guestroom – you can write welcoming or entertaining notes to your guests. And they can leave their thanks, or any feedback :p All you need is creativity and a some chalkboard paint. Maybe also a sheet of MDF and a frame if you want to make it even more flexible. And yes, use dustless chalk if you don’t want to wake up with white dust in your face..
