White & Old Wood

widell

I’m still deeply into the Stockholm styling compartment (owing to a project I’m involved in) and just wanted to share these beautiful pics I came across via a beautiful living. I maintain my opinion white is no colour at all = boring, but can not deny that all-white can serve very well as a backdrop [...]

Sthlm Styling Style

sthlm-home-style

Happy you liked the sthlm style post! Here’s another one!, an extraordinary fine example of the Stockholm style of styling. And actually, of a gorgeous Stockholm apartment in itself. 2 rooms & a kitchen, currently for sale @ estate agent reimersholme fastighetsmäkleri. First of all, it’s gorgeous in itself. A building from the 1910′s, in [...]

The Trendy Entomologist & The Return of Pine Wood

Posted on 2012/09/12 by Mia in Art & Illustrations, AW2012, Birds & insects, industrial vintage, scandinavian
ikea_butterflies

The trendy entomologist is now highly present also in IKEA‘s pics! There’s been quite a lot of circulation lately of the butterfly poster BILD with motif by Maria Mendez (priced $12/£10!) and the brand new canvas SIBBARED by Kai Legaard and Tina Christensen. IKEA nowadays makes it so easy to hop on (and off) current [...]

French Eclectic Home in London

hearthome

I really like this story in the brand new issue of the wonderful Heart Home Magazine. They’ve visited French blogger Carole Poirot (with the blog Mademoiselle Poirot) in her London home. It’s so full of life & personality. Great space for creative work (above) and getting dressed (below). A lovely French vibe. She says her [...]

The Quirky 2012

via_theselby_600

Yay, that’s what I wish for in 2012 home interiors. More quirkiness! Unexpected twists, peculiar objects and jawdropping combinations. Here’s some pics from the The Selby, featuring the São Paulo home of Fashion Designer Alexandre Herchcovitch. How about having a scenery like that behind the sofa? Gorgeousness. Love the weird anatomy doll as well. And [...]

In the jungle…

goldy_yellow_walls_600

…the mighty jungle. This style – via Casaviva India – appeals to me. I wouldn’t copycat it, no, but the happy yellow walls and the jungly vibe from plants and animal patterns is so fresh, eclectic and absolutely lovely.

Classic Stockholm Beauties

Posted on 2011/10/16 by Mia in Art & Illustrations, Bedroom, Headboards, Mild Wall Colours
bedroom

My feelings are very warm for typical Stockholm beauties like these. With the wide plank flooring, the tile stove and the generous ceiling height creating such wonderful sense of space. Decorating a home under conditions like these is a sheer delight. Walls kept ‘Stockholm-white’ (like above) or painted, wallpapered…Any style works.  | via estate agencies [...]

I love the Blues

blue

By Trendey-favourite, master of dark interiors Abigail Ahern, via The Selby. Such an easy way to add interest to a kitchen: a dark painted wall, a painting and a distressed chair. Blonde wood goes so well with blues. last 2 pics via living etc magazine, latest issue
