I must draw attention to yet another wonderful home featured at The Selby. It’s carpet designer Malene Barnett’s home in Brooklyn.
Just look at these incredibly gorgeous colours! A strong turquoise, a warm sun-burnt yellow, a cool lavender; all sleek and clean with ethnic and personal details.
It’s so many different feels out of these colours you can choose rooms to suit your mood! The happy warm yellow towards a lighter yellow, the clean light turquiose in the kitchen … the lavender, oh the lavender bedroom is my favourite.

These beautiful bedlinen are part of a Odd Molly & Helena Christensen design charity collaboration. A donation of $25 per sold set will be given to the CCPI organisation for the benefit of the forgotten victims of the Chernobyl disaster of 1986. The bed linens are made in Portugal by 60% cotton and 40% linen. Order now, and you can lay to rest under these lovely fabrics by X-mas.

Helena Christensen has been the face of Odd Molly since their first campaign, for the spring/summer 2009 collection. The Creative Director of Odd Molly has stated that Helena was their dream choice: “she truly embodies our sentiments at Odd Molly, and for that matter, the reverse is also true.”
From The Selby, here’s a little extra on the home inspiration part:

Double Denim – The ultimate fashion crime? A 2009 trend that shouldn’t?
It-there-a-rule-against-it?
Nooo, of course not. Go Double D! As with denim, the combination possibilities are countless: mix dark + dark, light+light, any wash + coloured. Here’s some nice examples to keep you going… and for Denim’s Sake - turn a blind eye to the so called fashion rules!
