An amazing grey wall colour

Posted on 2010/11/29 by Mia in AW 2010, Dark Painted Walls

In the dark painted wall-section lies an intriguing question: Black, blue or grey? There are some obviously great colour choices. One of these is Farrow & Balls Off-Black – Henen will show you pics of her paint results soon – and from the same manufacturer: the Abigail Ahern signature colour Down Pipe. This colour must be noted when speaking about painting walls dark. It’s an amazing grey, they say. In the day it takes on a lilacish hue and in the evening inky blue. Lamps lamps lamps plus bright accents are the keys to get the vibrant Ahern-look. And, in sum, to contrast the walls’ stormy weather.

I love it. Wish I would have discovered this colour a few months ago! I ended up using knoxville gray on my stair banister and was a bit disappointed with how blue it turned out.
